Engineering consultancy will help with survey requirements and planning for the ERM Dolphyn initiative
Irish offshore engineering consultancy Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) is to support ERM on the development of ERM Dolphyn, which comprises in situ production of hydrogen powered by a floating wind turbine.
GDG will help with the development of survey requirements and planning.
The consultancy said the offshore infrastructure associated with the project will include a pipeline, and mooring and anchoring systems for the floating turbine.
GDG managing director Paul Doherty said: “Sustainability continues to drive the sector and GDG is ideally placed to support it, particularly with our expertise in floating turbines and its contribution to hydrogen production.”
