Blade Repair

Part of our Wind Turbine IRM Services, our experienced teams deliver repairs and maintenance across a broad range of internal and external defects for several turbine/blade types, including both in situ and on ground blade repairs. Typical repairs carried out by our technicians include:

  • Leading Edge Erosion at varying stages of degradation
  • Retro-Fit leading edge protection
  • Gel coat damage
  • Laminate damage
  • Bonding deficiencies
  • Handling/construction damage
  • De-lamination
  • Leading Edge Protection fitment & repairs
  • Aerodynamic Aids (Stall strips, Dyno Shell, Dyno
  • Tail & Vortex Generator)
  • Lightning strike damage & protection repair.

Upon client request, our teams can carry out inspect and fill, to minimise mobilisation costs of blade inspection and repairs. This method would be applicable where there is an expectation of relatively minor defects and is deployed as an early and light repair to extend the time between more significant repairs.

Upon successful completion of a repair and inspection, Bureau Technical Services Quality Team will provide a complete documentation package to our client.
