Contractors are being called up to bid for a new four-year framework in North Wales covering mainly its “21st Century School” building programme.

Denbighshire County Council is leading the procurement competition which aims to find 15 contractors for the three lots for jobs of different sizes.

The North Wales Schools and Public Buildings Contractor Framework will also be used for other public building contracts in the region bringing the total forecast spend up to £270m.

Framework lots

  • Lot 1: £4.35m – £7.5m, 6 firms, spend up to £50m
  • Lot 2: £7.5m – £15m, 6 firms, spend up to £100m
  • Lot 3 – exceeding £15m, spend up to £50m, 3 contractors, spend up to £120m
