Singaporean services company Hallin Marine has been awarded its first major contract in China by a subsidiary of state-run China National Offshore Oil Corporation.

Hallin said the contract would see it supply its Windermere subsea operations vessel, a remotely operated submersible inspection vehicle, a diving team and a range of surveying and engineering services to COOEC Subsea Technology.

“The scope of work includes providing a subsea diving support vessel to perform both diving and ROV services,” Hallin’s commercial manager, Jonathan Quek, said.

“These will be used to complete a continuous subsea campaign of spools installation, inspection, repair and maintenance work in the Eastern South China Sea.”

The project is scheduled to start next year and will run for an estimated six months, including options.
