Rome-headquartered Mediterranean Oil & Gas has renewed its “take and pay” gas sales agreement with Italian utility, Repower Italia.

Mediterranean’s subsidiary Medoilgas Italia will sell all gas production from the Guendalina gas field and its onshore gas facilities to Repower for a year.

The contract will start on 1 October and run through until 30 September 2015.

Repower has bought all of the company’s production from Guendalina since 1 April 2012 and its onshore Italian gas production since 1 October 2013.

Late last year, the companies renewed the contract for a year.

Mediterranean holds a 20% stake in the field, with Italian major Eni holding the remaining 80% and operatorship of the field.

The field lies off the Italian cost in the Adriatic Sea on the D37 AC-FR concession.
