Norwegian oil and gas services player NorSea is adding to its stable with the purchase of a company from Danish conglomerate AP Moller-Maersk.

Base and logistics supplier Danbor will add Danish operations and wind power market capabilities to NorSea through the deal, the value of which was not disclosed.

Danbor is based in Esbjerg but also has a presence in Aberdeen and, though a joint venture, in Greenland. It mainly offers services to the likes of related company Maersk Oil and Dansk Undergrund Consortium on the Danish continental shelf.

Some 370 employees will be moving across to NorSea as a result of the acquisition.

Apart from Norway, NorSea has offices in Aberdeen and Perth, Australia.
