Shell Prelude FLNG Project

Between 2015 and 2018, Bureau Technical Services carried out QA/QC services across the UK and Europe (Germany, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Norway and Netherlands)

The project required 30+ full inspectors (welding, mechanical, coating, and electrical) mobilised across manufacturing sites on a daily or residential basis over 18 months.

As part of the QA/QC services we provided; admin support, flights, accommodation, daily and weekly reporting, including the closure of NCRs.

As the world’s first floating liquefied natural gas platform, as well as the largest offshore facility, ever constructed, the Prelude itself is being built by Samsung Heavy Industries and Technip in South Korea for Royal Dutch Shell.
