Project Description

Carry out FAT’s / inspection and monitoring of all aspects of the structural production process of the blades. Overseeing and inspecting the below, along with writing daily and weekly reports on the progress and inspection activities carried out.

Factory acceptance tests – GFRP, FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy), Moulding, Fabric lay-up, Blade Bonding, Fibre Coating, adhering to the client Inspection Test Plans (ITPS), ensuring it complies with the international standards and client’s specification to include:

• The fairing of the mould ensuring ensures clean-up before blade gel coat application.
• Fabric Lay-up (GRP / GFRP) following various specifications
• Vacuum preparation to ensure the resin infusion sets, performing testing to ensure no leaks
• Shear web installation
• Blade Bonding ensuring that all parts bond correctly
• Cutting of the root
• T bolt holes cutting
• De-Moulding
• NDT / UT
• Coating application
